Green Lantern

Eternal Crisis of the Pantsless Superheroes. Like them or hate, crises are a big part of the DCU. You can discuss them alongside books like Secret Six and other events like Green Lantern: Blackest Night.

I also love exposition and I thought this was so necessary. Other than the fact we knew this was coming, I still liked that it was put on the page and I can't wait to see how this all ends.

I am pretty excited to see how this arc ends. We have been given big hints the whole time but it was cool to see them explain the whole thing.

Despite the misleading cover, I thought the issue was great as well. When Black Hand woke up I was like "Oh crap!" And if you noticed, he wasn't anywhere to be seen at the end. Where is that rascal off to?

The Sinestro flashback was cool as well.

Yeah, I forgot to mention how much I loved the flashback with Sinestro. Learning more about his background makes me love him all the more.

He can't be up to any good. That's for sure! :D

I've mentioned this before but I so love Black Hand issues. He is one creepy bastard.

And that last page...oh oh! About halfway through the issue I was thinking about how much trouble Hal and Sinestro will be in if that Indigo power source is broken. And now they are in serious trouble with a bunch of people who, if they weren't in the Indigo Tribe, would probably be in the Sinestro Corps.

Well, it's well and truly looking like the Guardians must be destroyed. I'm hoping that Ganthet is going to play a key role in all this and is as under their control as appears to be.

Green Lantern #10
Another solid issue. I liked the resolution with the Indigo Tribe. I see there being a breakthrough between Hal and Sinestro that I quite liked and then there is Black Hand. WOW! Looking forward to the next issue.

Agreed, #10 was a solid issue, especially the character moment with Indigo-1. And talk about a cliffhanger!

Yeah killer last page! I loved how Hand just killed himself like that. What a morbid bastard lol. Johns just owns these characters and mythos. This Third Army is going to be lethal...

Loved the last issue.

Am I the only one that is completely underwhelmed and dissapointed with the whole Hal not really a Green Lantern because he was kicked out. He still has a ring (kinda), hes still kicking ass, he still saves the day. It seems like a total underused part of the story and Hal could still be a part of the Corps and it would make no difference for the last 10 months of issues.

Doesn't bother me. Probably because him working for Sinestro is a cool angle in my eyes. And who's to say what happens next? Doesn't sound like the Guardians are going to be welcoming him back with open arms any time soon. And the Corps and/or Guardians might not be around for much longer. Basically what I'm saying is, pieces needed to be put into place to set up the next big story for the GLC, but that doesn't mean all the new aspects of Hal's life have been abandoned.

GL #10

Black Hand. I freaking love what Johns does with this character! I've said this before - one day I'd like to see Johns and Mahnke do a horror comic because they come up with some pretty gruesome stuff and it always involves Black Hand. The black ring coming from inside of Black Hand was brilliant.

This was such a great issue. I really enjoyed it. It was interesting and at that same time progressed the story and characters, particularly the relationship between Hal and Sinestro. Hal admitting that Sinestro could be redeemed is a big moment.

I didn't really care much for the first 6 issues but this feels well and truly on track again and the war that's coming is going to be huge!

Maybe I'm remembering the ending of Blackest Night wrong, but doesn't this mean we should be seeing the return of Nekron soon?

Issue #10 was great. The fact that the indigo rings can lead to real remorse and desires for redemption is interesting. The relationship between Hal and Sinestro is fantastic. I've grown to really love Sinestro being a GL again. I hope it lasts a while longer. And Hal's reaction upon seeing that Sinestro had once again been put under the indigo ring's influence made me chuckle.

I also got the impression that he was aiming for the water. Him sticking his fist out seemed to indicate that he was trying to get distance.

This was awesome. I loved the banter between Hal and Sinestro. This issue has the creepiest family dinner scene I've ever seen and I cannot wait for the next issue. Another cool issue all-around.

Agreed on #11. That vision of things to come from the Book of the Black was pretty interesting as well.

The vision from the Book of Black was very interesting. Was that Guy jailed? Interesting. Also, did you catch what Hal and the Indigo Tribe have in store for the Guardians? That could be interesting.

Loved it.

The relationship between Hal and Sinestro is just awesome. I love the way it continues to develop.

Johns and Mahnke know how to do Black Hand. Whenever he's around you know it's going to be good. That family dinner was creepy as hell.

Green Lantern #11

Great stuff. Black Hand + Johns + Mahnke = Awesome!!!! Loved it.

Agree that Book of the Black stuff was very interesting. Johns does love doing those little previews, doesn't he? Seems like something bad will happen to Kyle if it's going to make him go Red Lantern.

Very much looking forward to next issue.
