...shouldn't Selena Gomez be arrested? She's 19, and Justin Bieber won't be 18 till March of this year. They've been dating a couple years now. How does this work with celebrities? If they were muggles, or if the genders were reversed would this still be acceptable?

I think as long as they are not fucking all is well, for the most part. The bad guy from The Green Mile is married to some chick who I think is under 18. They claim they are not fucking and are waiting until she turns 18 (riiiiiight...). This is why the lady who claimed she had Bieber's baby was in deep shit. Because she claims to actually have fucked him. Also, some states have different laws concerning this since I think it is a state's rights issue and not a federal one. Then again I'm not sure. In any case, them being liked celebrities probably plays a part of it too.
