Now it's back on a Fall schedule instead of Summer.

I thought it was always going to be on in the Fall. I thought they wanted to do the whole Halloween Premiere thing again.

making another Halloween premiere date likely and bringing an end to any realistic hope of an earlier premiere date.

Frank Darabont's Walking Dead TV series veered away from Robert Kirkman's comic book source material, big-time. So will the group of post-apocalyptic survivors get back on track? Kirkman let some details slip about season two that have us very excited.

Spoilers ahead...

When asked by Entertainment Weekly if season two would follow the source material laid out in the comic a bit better, Kirkman responded:

"I don't know if I can go into that, but I know [showrunner Frank Darabont] has said we're going to see Hershel's farm. We're looking to take some picturesque rural landscapes and playing with that and coming up with some cool zombie visuals. We'll see some of the locations of the first season, but we're going to mainly focus on breaking new ground. Oh, and we're going to feature a lava planet."
Hershel's Farm? (Also, lava planet!) If you've read the books, then you know that this short stop over for the survivors which allows the gang to pick up a few permanent members. But more importantly, it's one more step closer to a big, big destination SPOILERS.... the prison! We're dying to find out how many hours this 10-episode season will dedicate to that pivotal location. My guess: five. There's just so much to cover — heck, they could dedicate the entire season inside that place, and I'd be entertained all the way through.

I hope they make it to the prison sometime in the second season. I don`t want Hershel's farm to drag on too long.

^^^ I agree. Going to the prison would be a good cliffhanger for the second season. Next week Season 1 is available :D

Yeah. That would be a great cliffhanger. I could see it now. They get there and there are zombies everywhere.

I'm curious to see how much of season two will keep to the books and what they will add. I loved the changes they made in season 1 so it should be interesting to see what they do with the second season.

I hate most of the changes. Especially the last episode.

I started the season very enthusiastic, but by end I started to hate it. Hope Season 2 will be the show's redemption.

Well, seeing how season one went, I would imagine that there are going to be some changes in the second season as well. Things are already different but I guess we'll find out soon enough. Well. Not that soon. :?

There's a lot of shows I watch regularly season to season but the wait for this one is almost unbearable. Everytime something comes out in the media about The Walking Dead I read it and get all excited which just makes the wait that much worse. :)
