I knew when I picked this up off the shelf that I'd be asked if I wanted a gift receipt. I was. Every time I buy something that isn't "normal" for me to like I get asked that.

I have that Monty Python 16 ton set as well! I did have like season 4 or 3 (can't remember which one) for Kids in the Hall that I found for $10 at a resale shop a few years back, but I got rid of it after I watched it. Anyways great Pick-ups! :)

Despite loving the show I wasn't going to get these. In this day and age I think releasing volumes like this that only contain 6 or 7 episodes is ridiculous. It should ALWAYS be either a half season set or a whole season set. These two DVDs should have been released as one set. They comprise half of season one. Anyway, I was going to wait for a full season 1 set to be released, but Marvel doesn't exactly have a great track record when it comes to releasing their shows as season sets. They only ever released season 3 of X-Men: Evolution as a set, and they still haven't released season 2 of The Spectacular Spider-Man as a set. Sure, they've released season sets of their other shows, but I just don't have absolute faith that The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes will get a full season release. Now that Disney owns Marvel I'm hoping better DVD releases will come. If they do release a full season set I'll buy it, but since I don't have absolute faith we'll see one I decided to just get these for now.

As I said with the Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes DVDs: I am against them releasing DVDs with only a few episodes on them. It should be either the whole season, or in some cases half season sets. I got these Spectacular Spider-Man DVDs because it is pretty clear that they won't be releasing a full season 2 set. It's been almost two years since the first season set was released and there has been no word on if and when season 2 would be released. Well, I want to have all of season 2 on DVD, and if the only way to do it was to buy 4 volumes (3 with 3 episodes on them and one with 4 episodes) then so be it. I'm not happy about it, but I don't want to hold out on buying these in the hopes of there being a full season 2 and then have these go out of production and no season 2 released. If they ever do come out with a season 2 set I will buy it.

As for the Glee set I got, I wanted to wait for the full season two set to be released, but this was on sale and I wanted it. When the full season 2 set is released I will buy it.
