It's obvious after Lori and Rick's exchange that Lori is the reason Shane became who he was...there was a glimmer of Shane in Rick's eyes tonight.

I noticed that too.
Dickgrayson007 wrote:Everyone is being a dick to Rick, your supposed to back your leader. He needs to beat the shit out of all of them.

Agreed, he should just say fuck them and leave.

I'm wanting Carl and Lori to just die off, both are ungrateful little shits. Carl doesn't do anything he is told and always puts everyone in danger, little prick. Lori is a whore who keeps turning people against each other and it's her fault Andrea was left behind, "she's down!" Please you didn't see anything you whore! :x

And Carol is just all around ungrateful, I'd tell her to go join her daughter then. I'm glad Daryl is sticking up for Rick, is he the only one in the entire group with common sense? Well, Hershel seems to have common sense too. At least Rick has them. But man, the rest are so ungrateful and Rick never asked to be in charge. If I was him I'd leave them and take only Hershel and Daryl with me.

OH!!!! My favorite character from the comics is finally going to be in the show!!!! I loved Michonne's appearance in this episode, even if it was only for a moment. It was AWESOME!!!! I can't wait to see her in season 3 and the prison and the governor. So much to look forward too!

so, when does the 3rd season start?

like so many others I literally cheered at both Michonne and the prison. I love the fact that people who are only aware of The TV Show have NO IDEA whats coming. To hear there cries of "It cant get more intense then this" gives me a chuckle and a " You havent seen ANYTHING yet". If they do things correctly, season 3 will break people's brains methinks

As the chat was winding down, I had Talking Dead on in the background. We were working out a theory that Hershel only lived through the season because they killed Dale (and we already believe Dale was only killed because of the Darabont situation.)

During Talking Dead, one of the producers started telling a story of how, in the episode where Dale dies it was SUPPOSED to be Hershel's last episode, they had even told the actor as much, but then they decided "they really liked the guy" and decided to keep him.

The lady who plays Andrea was there, and noticeably rolled her eyes at that last bit.

Hershel is the new Dale.

I liked this finale, it was action packed and really intense.

I had a theory that got blown out of the water. I thought maybe someone was herding the walkers on purpose, using them to clear people out of places. Once everyone was dead the walkers would move on leaving supplies aplenty...

The AMC zombie series, which returns for its third season in October, answered long-term mythological questions (The content of the CDC's Dr. Jenner's whisper? No longer a secret!) and pushed the characters into new places, both physically and emotionally. Perhaps most importantly for fans of the comic books, "The Walking Dead" has left the farm behind, with the prison very much in the near future.

Michonne! Prison! What a way to end the season. The last three episodes have been so damn intense. I'm so glad Michonne had her two armless/jawless walker pals with her too. :) Also cool to see them finally reveal what that Jenner guy whispered to Rick. Reminded me of in the comic when Rick realizes this same thing and says "We are the walking dead!" on a big double page spread, I believe the first of the series but not sure.

This. One minute she's telling Rick that Shane's dangerous and needs to be "dealt with" next minute she's being a bitch to Rick for actually carrying out what she goaded him to do. And it's not like he did it in cold blood, Shane left him no choice. Plus she's the one that pushed Shane to the edge with that little talk giving him false hope.

Don't think that over the course of Season 3 we won't learn to love Lori as she grows as a character, makes a life for her family, becomes a mother again....

...and then, she'll be ripped away.

Or will she?? While Lori is annoying the heck out of me as a character, she's still compelling so I hope she sticks around a good while. It's the characters I'm indifferent about, like Carol for instance, that I wouldn't mind seeing get the axe. Unless of course they explore the whole Carol coming onto Lori thing from the comics...

Finally caught this last night.

My baby doll showed up at the end :D :D :D :D :D

and Darryl just fucking rules.

If I had the time before I see him at the con this weekend, I'd make him a shirt with this on the back: "If you can read this, it means Carol fell off"

Ya gotta think though....next season is....16 episodes? That's a LOT of time for characters to come on to each other, get killed by walkers, get raped and murdered, and get shot by invaders.

I would not be surprised if Season 3 ends with only Rick, Carl, Maggie, Glenn, Andrea, Daryl, and Michonne surviving.

Jose made a similar comment as the scene was happening. 'If you can read this, the Zombie fell off". Yours is better. HILARIOUS.

Best episode this season, and possibly since the pilot. Looks like the first actual episode created without the involvement of Frank Derabont, and unlike the Season 1 finale it did both: 1) Something that wasn't originally done in the comic books, the attack on the farm; 2) Not shitting all over the source material. I'm impressed, pleased and newly enthusiast for the next season. Hope they won't fuck it up again.

One thing I've learned from the past two seasons is not to expect ANYTHING to happen the same way it did in the comic. I am very happy to know that Michonne, the prison, and the Governor will be in the next season though.
