Field Trip

Ted's field trip was hilarious. I loved that he couldn't get into the construction site.

Barney's lecture on Ewoks and the fact that he knew stuff about Ted's students were both hilarious.

I loved the return of Marshall's fish jokes.

Mystery Vs. History

Great stuff. I loved all the disorders. Ted talking like an idiot after he found out about Janet was hilarious.

Noretta

More great stuff. Everyone picturing their other as their parent was great. I LOVED Kevin's "Aw, heeeelll no!" was hilarious. I really hope Kal Penn is around for a while. I'd really like it if he became a regular.

The Slutty Pumpkin Returns

It was great that we finally saw the Slutty Pumpkin. All the stuff with Naomi and Ted not working as a couple was great.

Barney being 1/4 Canadian was hilarious.

Yes, I agree 100% on everything you said!

And Barney wearing the ducky tie on his arm while in his boxing out fit was fantastic!

This show just keeps getting better. The latest Barney/Robin twist was both funny AND heart wrenchingly sad...

And the hits just keep on coming from Robin to Barney with the bombshell she dropped on him this week...

Disaster Averted, Tick Tick Tick..., and The Rebound Girl were all great. I loved seeing what actually happened when Ted and Marshall were high and looking for nachos. Also, Robin screaming "have you never heard of overhead lighting" was hilarious.

This latest episode was both hilarious and really sad. It's good when a show can mix it up like they do here. The flashback aspect of it really opens up some unique story telling opportunities.

Symphony of Illumination

Great stuff. I agree that it was both hilarious and sad.

I loved the Marshall storyline, and Ted's surprise for Robin was great.

I caught up on the last 4 episodes today. They were fantastic. I loved The Burning Beekeeper so damn much. I love when the show shows you a story out of order or seeing it from a different perspective.

Barney's "Ted, tonight is going to be epic ---wait for it--- dary! Wait, no that's not it. How do I usually say it?" in The Drunk Train. And Marshall and Lily's awkward references to marriage were hilarious. Also, Barney and Ted trying to pick up girls on the drunk train while sober was awesome.

The Magician's Code

Great stuff.

I loved all the stories they told Lily to keep her occupied. I figured out that was what was going to happen with the door.

***SPOILERS***

I really wish that Barney was going to marry Quinn. It was pretty obvious that it was going to turn out to be Robin though.

I really hope this show goes past the wedding (even though that would be a good ending point). This is pretty much one of the only network shows that I continuously watch and love. Can not wait for next season.

I like Quinn too, her "Tinkerbelle's vagina" line made me laugh out loud. This episode was FULL of great lines and bits. Gonna have to watch it again.

I refuse to believe this until I see both of them standing side by side saying I DO to each other.

Giving this show a try. I'm half way through season one. Some thoughts...

Ted is horrible! Who the hell tells their kids about all the girls he's had sex with? and he's such a pussy!
Robin is a cocktease
The only real likable character is Barney.

Going to finish season one and see if I want to continue.

You know, with this show's habit of throwing curve balls i may have to join you. If i recall correctly Lilly said "the" bride, she didn't specify who's bride, yes?

I think I'm done with this show. I have zero interest in these characters anymore and have lost interest in trying to find out when and how Ted finally meets his bride to be. The only thing that would redeem this show in my eyes would be to have the kids be in their forties when Ted finally ends his story and then tell him, "Wow, thanks Dad. Maybe we could have met our soul mates by now if we didn't spend the last two decades listening to you drone on and on about how you met yours. Get a life, Dad!"

If the show does end well, I'll catch up with it a year later on Netflix, but until then, I'll use that extra half hour each week catching up with shows that I still actually enjoy watching.

next year is the last season dude. The mom is there, we met her in the season finale... some people thought she was ugly, others cute. But she's there now. I'll still watch it no matter what. I know its going to end badly. The kids are now older than what the mom looks like.

I read that the final season will all deal with the events leading up to and culminating with Barney and Robin's wedding. That's twenty-some odd episodes dealing with the events of one day. No thank you.
