The Avengers (SPOILER WARNING)

You know... They're like TV, but longer. And generally more finite.

If they do a JLA movie I hope they use the team from the Grant Morrison/Howard Porter run. With all the money Avengers made, I'm sure they will try to recreate that kind of success. I was looking at the new Captain Marvel preview earlier and I think they may be making these changes to her character to get her ready to appear in the sequel, it seems they would need a cosmic level character to join the team.

My one problem with the Thanos scene is that the hand they show a closeup of is CLEARLY not the hand of the Mad Titan. Looks like a slender human hand. I expect big purple sausage fingers.

Arsenal wrote:The biggest problem with the JLA at this point (other then using a bad guy big enough to bring the team together) is DC at this point might just jump the gun and go right into JLA. Marvel had a great plan but so much of it was luck, if any of the big 3 movies had failed, Avengers would have been rough.

The consistent nature of each film (in short, like an action comedy but with more heart) played a part as well, something I can't see DC doing.

Arsenal wrote:I can see WB/DC just throwing 500million at the movie and it end up just falling flat, yeah we get a JLA movie but you walk out of it mad about the situation.

That's my fear. Also, the Justice League's team dynamics are very different than the Avengers as is the overall feel of the whole thing. The more I think about it, the more issues come to mind that would make a JLA movie very hard to be made well.

I have to wonder about how they would handle the roster of a JLA movie. Avengers took some liberties and excluded Pym and Wasp, original Avengers in the comics, from the movie and no one was bothered by it (not greatly). I wonder if such liberties could be made for a Justice League movie and how would such be received.
It's been fun.

If Sony blocks this I will forever hate them. I honestly have no real reason to like them at this point. MAKE IT HAPPEN.

I'm eager for a 3rd. Black Widow was kind of a f---ing badass in this. That dropkick/kip up or whatever it was in the interrogation scene was wild.

Cobie Smulders/Maria Hill needs a little something, though. Kick it up a notch. Isn't Maria Hill gay or bi in the comics? Or is that just from my dreams?

Have her rebuff Stark or hit on Widow.

That reminds me...I'm definitely eager for a Tony Star/Pepper Potts break in Iron Man 3. Tony needs to sew his wild oats.

^Black Widow was bad ass. I know people had a problem with her in Iron Man 2 (I liked her in it), but I think this movie makes up for that. And I love that kick thing she did in the interrogation scene so much. I love it more each time I see it.

I don't think Maria is gay or bi. I know she's slept with Tony before. She might be bi, but I've never seen anything to indicate it.

I FINALLY GOT TO SEE IT TONIGHT!!!!! :D

I have to say I really liked Black Widow in the Avengers movie. I didn't like her in Iron Man but she was awesome in the Avengers.

I saw it for the 7th time on Wednesday and for the 8th time tonight. It still gives me goosebumps. I think I have to come up with a new word to accurately describe how much I love this movie.
