Nightwing

Eternal Crisis of the Pantsless Superheroes. Like them or hate, crises are a big part of the DCU. You can discuss them alongside books like Secret Six and other events like Green Lantern: Blackest Night.

I'm assuming all of the #18 issues will deal with the aftermath of Batman Inc #8. DAMMIT! :anger:

I'm so pissed at the developments of Batman Incorporated #8. I feel like it's such a waste.

From what I hear, it was Grant's ultimate plan for Damien from the beginning.

Issue #18 was just meh for me. Nothing really stood out. I'm still furious that they killed Damian.

Nightwing #18
I liked it. I don't get why Batgirl is on the cover when she's not even mentioned in the issue. The ending was interesting and explains why he'll be going to Chicago. I wonder if that will be his new home base because that would be kind of awesome. I would love to see Nightwing make a home in Chicago and become it's protector.

Nightwing #19
This was pretty good. I liked how the art team does Nightwing's costume. Between the pencils, inks and colors, it's looks really cool. I like him in Chicago and I love the fact that the city has a zero tolerance towards costumed heroes. This version of Prankster is pretty sweet so I'm curious to see how this story evolves with Nightwing in Chicago.

Nightwing #20
I really enjoyed this. I love how alone it seems Nightwing is at least for now. You can see that he had to sew his own costume after being in a fight which I enjoyed. I like this new Prankster and I'm looking forward to seeing Nightwing come face to face with Tony Zucco. I'm expecting some kind of swerve but I don't know what it could be yet. I am curious about why Chicago hates vigilantes so badly. I am loving this new direction and the art is very nice.

I am digging the move to Chicago, and I like that his mask has red highlights to it now, it is a nice touch, the art in general is great but I think they are making Dick look too young, he is early 20's not a teenager.

But I think it is pretty obvious that the new Prankster is the girl who's room Dick is renting.

It's just a guess, but blond, good with computers and when he cracked the mask the eye was feminine looking.

Just a guess, but I really do hope that Nightwing stays in Chicago for a while.

Prankster looks like a man to me, but I guess it's a possibility.

The past two issues have been really really good. At first I wasn't too into the idea of Nightwing going to Chicago. If he wasn't going to be in Gotham I would have rather have him be in Bludhaven, but it was a really good move. I think getting him away from Gotham and from all of the tie-ins to Snyder's Batman stuff has really benefited the series. Higgins is finally able to just tell his own stories.

I'm also really liking the art. I was never that into Barrows's art.

The story and the art are just outstanding. I'm loving Nightwing in Chicago and the end of the latest issue was really cool. I'm curious to see how this current story ends and I'm hoping that Nightwing stays in Chicago. Could make for some very cool stories.

NIghtwing Annual #1

Nice little story that takes place before Dick's journey to Chicago and during the whole "Batgirl Wanted" stuff. I like seeing Babs and Dick hang out together and it was a decent story. I loved the ending of the issue with the flashback with Dick and Babs at the beginning of their costumed career. Even though it's set in the New 52, the fun was still there like it had always been and it made me smile. Good issue.

^I haven't read the annual yet, but I am excited to read it. I enjoy Dick and Barbara together. I'd love a Nightwing/Batgirl ongoing.

Yeah. A Nightwing/Batgirl series would have been gold. I still think a Batman Family style series would have been gold. I like the annual. A good fill-in issue that's fun to read.
