SexyToaster in The PoP!ulation video from C2E2 2010!
PoP!: Ms. SexyToaster, not that there was ever any doubt from those that know and love you, but do tell our new readers: What makes you a Fangirl?
Sexy Toaster: I am into a lot of things that are considered “geeky”, like Comic Books, Superheroes, most anything Sci-Fi/Fantasy, Video games, you know…all that good stuff.

PoP!: How and when did you get started as such a Renaissance Fangirl?
Sexy Toaster: I’ve pretty much been one my whole life. As a child, I would rather play my SNES than play sports. I have been a Star Wars fan since elementary school. I’ve read comic books for most of my life. When I was in middle school, some friends got me into Anime/Manga, and then when I was in high school, I reconnected with my love for western comics. So, I have pretty much always been a Fangirl of something or another.
Sexy Toaster: It’s hard to think of all the geeky stuff I did as a kid, but one time, in elementary school, I went as Xena: Warrior Princess for Halloween, and no one knew who the hell I was. I mean, I am sure I was the only kid at my school who stayed up late on Saturdays to watch Hercules and Xena, so I felt like a total geek because I had this awesome costume, but no one knew who I was. I kept having to explain, and most of my classmates just gave me weird looks.
PoP!: The fact that you were a Xena fan in elementary school will surely cause many an aging fanboy to obsess over their growing bald spots. If it was Xena then, what powers your Fangirl flux-capacitor these days?
Sexy Toaster: Well, I have always been a “Scaper” (Farscape fan), and the new ongoing Farscape comic series has once again sparked the Fangirl in me. I am a HUGE Venture Bros. fan, so I am very excited to see where they take that show. I quote the show almost everyday, at least five times a day, so I am pretty excited for the next season (Season 5 of The Venture Bros. premieres on Cartoon Network’s [adult swim] on September 12th).

PoP!: We have all had that singular moment in which our nerdiness has gotten away from us. What is the most Fangirl-ish thing you’ve ever done?
Sexy Toaster: I hate to admit this, it’s kind of embarrassing, but on occasion, I read fan-fiction. Three years ago, I was reading this Star Wars fanfic, and when I got to the end of the third chapter, I realized that only the first three chapters were in English, the rest was in German. I don’t know why I felt so invested in that silly little fan-fic, but I needed to read the rest of it. I put the text into an online translator, but due to the dialects being different, I still couldn’t fully read the fan-fic. However, I felt like I really out-geeked myself by going to those lengths to translate something so silly.
PoP!: What has been your biggest Geek-Out Moment?
Sexy Toaster: When I was fifteen, I found out that there was going to be a Farscape convention in Chicago, but what made me geek-out even more was that Wayne Pygram was going to be one of the guests at the show. He plays Scorpius on Farscape, which happens to be my favorite character on the show. Anyway, I got my picture taken with him, and after that he gave me a small hug, which made it one of the best moments of my life as a geek.
PoP!: How has being a Fangirl affected other aspects of your life?
Sexy Toaster: Being a Fangirl has helped inspire me as an artist, and looking towards the future, to become a professional comic book artist. One day, it would bring me so much joy to draw the comic characters I love so much for a living, and that dream helps to fuel my artwork.
PoP!: You’re stranded on a desert island. You can have one action figure, one trade paperback, one Video Game, one DVD and one CD. What are they?
Sexy Toaster: My Tonner Lara Croft doll, Witchblade: Firstborn, The original Tomb Raider, Heavy Metal, and Dido’s Life for Rent.
PoP!: What would be your advice to the nerds of the world wanting to win over the Fangirl of their dreams?
Sexy Toaster: I really don’t have a good answer for this. I am not good with dating advice, but what I would say is Don’t Be Shy. Fangirls really aren’t as intimidating as we may seem.
